The Department of Corporate Services, HR Business Support would like to recruit an HR Business Support Officer who is enthusiastic, competent and flexible.
- To ensure the consistent provision of a professional, high quality and effective ordering and invoice payment service, including advice and guidance to individuals and Managers in regards to the correct processes and procedures for ordering goods and services, including provision of the correct documentation required to raise requisitions including Contracts & Grants form, exception to tender forms etc.To provide a centralised stationery service to 4 City Centre buildings (MMT, SHMH, City Hall & Britannia House), including the monitoring and re-ordering of stock
- To undertake the ordering and provision of basic mobile telephones, travel cards and car parking passes on behalf of all Council staff as required, involving recording and maintaining records of users.
- Responsible for the provision of basic mobile telephones, travel cards and car parking passes on behalf of all Council staff as required.
- Excellent communication skills; covering written, telephone and face-to-face contacts, acting with courtesy and professionalism.
- To be able to demonstrate excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with previous experience of monitoring expenditure, arranging the procurement of goods and services, whilst liaising with service users and suppliers.
- The ability to carry out effective decision making, using initiative and independent actions within the scope of the post, including planning and organising.
- Knowledge of the GDPR Regulations & Data Protection Act, experience of dealing with highly confidential information.
- Have the ability to produce and maintain accurate, comprehensible, succinct and timely records and reports to support the various responsibilities associated within the various areas of the post.
- The ability to work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the service.
- To use a range of IT packages and systems relating to the areas of work, including Word, Excel, SAP and IMS.
- Ability to adopt a process of continual improvement and suggest ways of working more efficiently and effectively to improve service delivery.

In addition, you will have 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grade A-C or equivalent, or NVQ Level 2 in Business & Admin.
