Marriott Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, set in the heart of Cottonopolis, is Manchester’s largest four-star hotel with 338 bedrooms including 18 suites, only a 2-minute walk away from the Manchester Piccadilly train station.

**The Role**:
As the FB Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant's front-of-house, ensuring seamless service, exceptional hospitality, and a memorable dining experience for our guests. From managing staff to coordinating events, you will play a key role in upholding our restaurant's reputation for excellence.

A customer-facing role means being on show - so a smart appearance is important along with a warm welcoming smile as you make our guests feel comfortable and relaxed.

As well as being confident and approachable, commitment, enthusiasm and energy are essential along with excellent communication skills which will enable you to interact with guests, interpret and act on their needs and liaise with others in your team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth flow of service and timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor dining room activity, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks to support efficient restaurant operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the restaurant.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement promotional initiatives, special events, and menu offerings.
- Uphold compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance goals and exceed guest expectations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Make sure that all stores, drinks, and linen are requisitioned daily to meet business needs.
- Ensure the restaurant is correctly prepared before each meal service.
- Check all cleaning schedules are adhered to daily.
- Make sure that service delivery is consistently achieved in line with agreed departmental and core standards.
- Check that all guest’s charges are passed to Reception for posting.
- Hazards, accidents, and maintenance are reported immediately and auctioned as soon as possible.
- Follow security procedures correctly.
- Ensure Fire, Health and Safety training has been attended every 6 months.
- Make sure all identified training sessions are attended.
- Be aware of the implications of the weights and Measures, Licensing Laws, and Food Hygiene.
