**The role**:

The School of Physics is seeking a motivated and confident Senior Research Administrator to provide excellent customer service and administrative support to the Centre for Device Thermoreliability (CDTR) and its director, Professor Martin Kuball.
The role will be based in a lively research group. The CDTR team of about 25 international researchers and PhD students works with industry and academia from across the globe to develop the next generation of technology for communications and for a low carbon economy.

**What will you be doing?**:
Tasks will include PA support for the director; liaison with researchers and postgraduate students; preparing financial and progress reports for funders; support the financial management and planning of the CDTR; managing the CDTR website and developing web content; managing group communications; facilitating regular team meetings; organising travel and accommodation, and workshops/conferences/events; co-ordinating space usage; managing a complex diary and greeting visitors; placing orders and reconciling the budget.
You have outstanding interpersonal and administrative skills, ideally gained in Higher Education administration or research support. Confidence in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software is essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You must be comfortable working under pressure and able to deal well with difficult people or situations. A positive attitude, with self-confidence and initiative are essential.
This post is part-time, 17.5 hours per week, worked over 3 or 4 days, but exact working patterns are negotiable.
