Overview:
Waters Wilmslow are looking for a Product Life Cycle Planner to join their Production Planning team

This role is varied, fast paced and exciting It will involve handling the returns database ensuring both Warranty and Excess materials are processed in a timely manner, working closely with demand and production planners, as well as Inventory management to ensure that the flow of this material is handled optimally.

**Responsibilities**:
**Returns Planning**:

- Review and determine routings for worldwide returns (warranty, non warranty, excess stock, service used, quality recalls etc).
- Ensure returned materials flow promptly through all areas of Wilmslow driving timely issue of credits/feedback to subsidiaries.
- Liaise with both purchasing and production planners so that pending returns can be planned to be actioned in advance.
- Chair regular subsidiary calls ensuring service bag Inventory continues to be handled.
- Management of ‘HOT parts’ list

**Lifecycle planning**:

- Ensure that material identified for scrap is disposed of in accordance with the WEEE regulations.
- RCA production orders and conduct monthly work in progress counts.
- To build and control internal rework production orders.
- Key contributor to warranty budget creation and management.
- Ensure customer critical issues are handled effectively.
- Management of capital equipment stored off site.
- Lead life cycle of all MS products ensuring Inventory risk remains in control.

**System Management**:

- Lead returns processing in the Warranty database to manageable levels.

**Individual**:

- Maintain the efficiency of the Quality System at the sites via adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
- Complete Quality System related actions according to procedures e.g. CAPA, NCR.

Qualifications:
**Education**:

- Educated to GCSE / A Level's or equivelent.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar working environment.
- Clean UK driving license

**Experience**:

- Demonstrable experience in a similar working environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Continuous improvement at forefront of all activity management.
- Able to enforce guideline across a complex services network.

**Competencies**:

- Experience of driving inventory reduction and improvement of customer on time delivery.
- Customer-focused, both internal and external customers.
- Financial acumen - Understands the P&L.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to chair with confidence regular global conference with global subsidiaries.
- Consistent, proactive and able to work on own initiative - good problem solving skill.
- Ability to see bigger picture for strategic decisions.

**Ability to travel on company business.**
