We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team in central Bristol. This is a permanent full-time role and offers the benefits of flexible hybrid working after the initial induction period.
This is a really important role in a department of three, and you will report directly to the Head of Finance. You will engage positively with colleagues from all departments within our business, plus both suppliers and customers. The ability to build good working relationships and prioritise a busy workload are vital. Your roles and responsibilities will span across the whole finance function, so a flexible and proactive nature is essential.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
- Banking
- Purchase ledger
- Sales ledger
- Credit control
- Credit card reconciliations
- Processing of employee expenses
- Assisting in month end procedures
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly accounts
- Imports to Sage 50accounts
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Publishing reconciliations
- Salary preparations
- Rental property and tenancy contract administration
- Premises management
As Finance Assistant you will be AAT qualified to level 4 (or equivalent) or working towards this. We offer study support. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills; plus be confident with differing IT systems and software programmes as a variety are used within this role. To be successful you will be meticulous in your work with a strong eye for detail. You will have detailed Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and previous experience of Sage 50accounts would be desirable. With a growth mindset, you will have a friendly but professional manner with a willingness to embrace the digital age.
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
