To ensure this continues, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Adviser to play a key role developing and delivering complex pay and reward activities.**Job description**:
You will work in our HR Operations team, delivering a high quality and customer focused HR operations service to internal CMA customers, external stakeholders and other parts of the HR directorate, with a focus on pay and reward.

Reporting to the HR Manager - Reward and Systems, you will be responsible for the full range of pay and reward activity, producing data and translating findings into strategy and delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading on and delivering all work related to the annual pay settlement for all salary grades
- Ensuring the accurate and timely implementation and communication of pay awards
- Leading on the delivery of the annual gender and ethnicity pay gap reports
- Leading the secretariat function of our remunerations committee
- Reviewing, maintaining and advising on pay policies.

You will need relevant experience of working in a customer-facing HR environment, with experience of managing a range of pay and reward projects, deliverables and activities. You will also need experience of preparing pay and reward proposals, models, business cases or reports. Current knowledge of employment law and HR best practice in relation to pay and reward is equally important.

Your detailed responsibilities will be:

- Leading on and delivering all work related to the annual pay settlement for all salary grades, including Senior Civil Servant (SCS) grades and non-Senior Civil Servant (non-SCS). - Ensuring the accurate and timely implementation and communication of pay awards through data checking, producing communications for staff and engaging internally and across Government to ensure all pay award actions are completed;
- Leading on all activities relating to our participation in the Pay Bill Control Pilot including developing and maintaining budgetary controls, internal monitoring of the paybill and regular reporting to HM Treasury;
- Leading on the preparation and submission of the annual Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap reports, including completing calculations, data analysis and drafting the reports;
- Leading the secretariat function of our Remunerations Committee (RemCo) including diary management, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of papers and meeting minutes;
- Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external pay-related data requests and leading on the completion of these, often through engagement with the wider Corporate Services directorate, to ensure accurate and timely data returns and publication;
- Overseeing implementation of the CMA Staff Recognition Scheme for delegated grades (AO to Grade 6), including monitoring of CMA-wide budgets, analysing award data to produce reports and communicating relevant messaging to all staff;
- Monitoring and tracking of all ongoing reward activity, to ensure that all pay and reward activities are delivered in a consistent, professional and timely way;
- Acting as main HR Operations point of contact for Civil Service Reward and delivering Civil Service Reward initiatives and management information requests as required;
- Contributing to cross-HR continuous improvement projects, ensuring that we are delivering a customer-focussed and modern HR service to the organisation as it expands ahead of EU Exit.
