Senior Qualified Social Worker job for Child Protection & Family Support, Solihull Council, £33.30ph, hybrid
**Your new company**
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for an experienced qualified social worker to join the Child Protection and Family Support team at the Blue Bell Centre in the Solihull area.
By working for Solihull MBC, you will work hard to ensure you understand the children and young people's views and wishes.

**Your new role**
As an experienced social worker for the Child Protection and Family Support team, you will make sure you promote and protect the welfare of the child always keeping them at the centre of everything you do. You will be providing the extra support necessary tohelp them achieve and maintain a reasonable standard of health, safety, and development.
As a senior qualified social worker, you will be dealing with all the court work before handing cases over to the looked after children team once the court has made the judgement to move the child into care.
You will work as a part of a team with other professionals, developing effective working partnership with children's families and carers.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker - completed ASYE plus 1 year experience -, registered with Social Work England. As a future children's social worker, you will have knowledge of relevant children's legislation and Social Care provision.Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required. You will be very committed, motivated, and well-organised, and you will be able to prioritise tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
You will need to be a driver with access to own car.
