Leicester, United Kingdom University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust Full time

NHS England has established a national framework for Revision Knee Surgery. As part of this process, University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) has been designated as a Major Revision Centre (MRC) and is part of a regional network with Northampton General Hospital (NGH) and Kettering General Hospital (KGH). Every MRC network is required to monitor and submit their activity numbers split by surgeon volume and centre volume including revision units and primary arthroplasty units.

The key responsibility of this role is to provide administrative facilitation of team meetings for the regional MDT meetings as part of the network arrangement, ensuring external colleagues are able to join the meetings via electronic conferencing. This will include preparing, organising and circulating agendas, minutes, results and sending out minutes of the meeting to relevant clinicians.

The role will also be responsible for collecting, maintaining and submitting the data required for the network MDT and national submission and monitoring the dataset.

It is required that the post holder will provide administration support to the clinic co-ordinator team and will be a pivotal point of contact and support to the clinical lead and revision knee surgeons across all network Trusts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to be the Major Revision Centre, network MDT coordinator. As a member of the team you will be responsible for facilitation and coordination of the MDT primarily providing support for the regional revision knee network (including Northampton General Hospital (NGH) and Kettering General Hospital (KGH) so that meetings are well-structured and run effectively.

The post holder must engage effectively with network hospitals and Trusts to ensure the data collection process is efficient, smooth and well-supported. This role also requires data collection, compilation of relevant reports and audits and the post holder must be able to work to tight deadlines and at times under pressure.

You will become a vital part of a talented team of people, committed to providing the best care and treatment to patients.

The role requires occasional travel between UHL, NGH and KGH
