As Senior EHCP Coordinator for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the work of EHCP Coordinators within the SEND team, including supervision, appraisal and the induction of new team members as well as managing a reduced caseload.
About the role
The Senior EHCP Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the work of EHCP Coordinators within the SEND team, including supervision, appraisal and the induction of new team members as well as managing a reduced caseload.
You will ensure that performance standards and national indicators relating to the statutory EHCP processes are achieved and Coordinators undertake statutory processes in an efficient and timely manner, reaching appropriate placement decisions for children and young people aged 0 to 14. Other duties will include:
- Meeting with parents, schools and other agency representatives in order to negotiate, identify and develop positive solutions where children and young people have a complex range of needs.
- Advising and leading on more complex cases as required. You will be responsible for improving customer satisfaction levels for the service and act as a professional exemplar in carrying out all duties with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Leading on specific projects and areas in line with service operational responsibilities and duties as well as provide information for the purpose of appeals and attend mediations with the Team Manager/Tribunals and Resolutions Officer as appropriate.
About you
