From our home in Cardiff's tech and creative hub, Tramshed Tech, (and also our actual homes since COVID-19 decided to wreak havoc on the world), we work with some amazing brands, (or as we like to call them, Attention Seekers), such as Brecon Carreg, Wild Place Project, Furniture Box, Visit Shropshire, Cardiff City Football Club, Truespeed and Visit Cardiff.

**What is the work like?**

Day to day, your tasks might include:

- Delivering media campaigns across a multitude of platforms including digital channels, TV, radio, print, out of home and direct mail
- Creating fully costed and rationalised media plans and presenting these to clients
- Using your planning knowledge to contribute to new business pitches
- Working with existing clients to review their media campaigns
- Undertaking competitor and market analysis for clients
- Analysing data to help inform future campaigns
- Negotiating with media owners to secure the best media placements and the best rates for our clients

**Hours and environment**

We generally work Monday to Friday, 9-5. Overtime is not a regular occurrence here, but at busy times we do expect a degree of flexibility when we have deadlines to meet and clients to please.

We’re proud to be a Gold Standard four-day week employer which means we have a permanent four-day working week with a reduction of hours and no loss of pay. We've been working a 4-day week since April 2018 and it works for us.

**What are we looking for?**

We want to keep growing and we want to make sure that our clients have the best possible service so we think now is the right time to appoint a **Media Planner and Buyer.**

We’re looking for someone that has:

- A track record of working in media planning and buying
- Previous agency experience
- A sound working knowledge of biddable media such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok as well as offline media including TV, radio/audio, press and out of home
- Experience in planning and executing successful integrated media campaigns
- A good understanding of tracking pixels, UTMs and conversion metrics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong reporting skills that show off an enviable attention to detail
- A sharp eye for analysing numerical data
- The ability to create and present post campaign analysis documents
- The ability to manage multiple campaigns in a deadline driven environment
- An understanding of how digital advertising can play a part within a wider media plan that might include TV, radio, out of home and print
- A proven ability to stay abreast of the latest developments within the media industry and communicate these both internally and to clients whether directly or through our marketing colleagues
