Overview:
**The Role and Team**

Working as part of the Finance Administration Team within either the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Team or the Transactional Team you will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties extending into different areas of the finance function and will be supported with on the job training for new roles and responsibilities.

This is an ideal position for someone looking to increase their general knowledge and understanding of the working practices of a busy finance department without restricting themselves to any particular area of finance and accounting.

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week, with core hours of 09:00 to 17:00 plus an additional half hour either before or after these times and a one hour lunch break.

We are also able to consider AAT and CIMA training support for those wanting to gain professional qualifications.

**Responsibilities**:
Day to day administration of various functions within the Finance Department including Sales Ledger and Transactional.
Answering telephone calls from customers, responding to their enquiries and providing the information requested in a reasonable and timely manner.
Entering credits, invoices and adjustments onto the SAP system with a high degree of accuracy.

Monitoring inboxes and replying to queries.

Administering the invoicing and crediting of our Franchisee/Council Contracts.
Communicating with customers to resolve any issues arising from requests received.
Maintaining accurate records of all credit/invoice actions taken through the use of our in house database system.
Work in partnership with our customers and other internal departments to ensure that all issues arising from adjustments issued are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely manner.

Set up new direct debit instructions against customer accounts, record adjustments and failed payments.
Accurately record telephone and online payments on our inhouse database. Utilising various software packages and processes to ensure that all anti-fraud measures are carried out to the highest standards.

Reconciling banking for the apetito owned Wiltshire Farm Foods depots.
Any other duties commensurate with the level of salary.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Previous experience of working within an office environment.
- Previous experience of dealing with customers in both written and verbal formats.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook packages.
- Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy.

- Learning and development - makes use of day to day experiences to further their understanding of the role and looks to gain relevant training where possible.

- Analytical - capable of analysing all forms of data including numerical and verbal in order to reach rational judgements from the information received. Able to form workable solutions to tasks and problems.
- Business studies or finance qualification.
- Previous experience of working within a purchase or sales ledger department or a credit control environment.
- Experience of working with SAP accounting packages.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access to an intermediate level.
- Knowledge of direct debit collection scheme practices and regulations.
- Knowledge of SMART and Stripe.
