**Salary**: £31,099 per annum

**Hours**: Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week

**About the role**

The Community Team Lead works as part of the Leadership Team to ensure staff are able to provide pro-active support, and specialist initiatives to survivors of domestic abuse through community-based programmes and support.

This role involves planning, overseeing, and reporting on community-based programs and support services, managing staff schedules for program coverage, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for individual client work in the community, and providing oversight for sessional workers.

**IMPORTANT TO NOTE**
- Role involves working outside core office hours.
- Travelling around Cheshire is essential for this role. Must be a driver with own car and business insurance.

**Who we’re looking for**

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan and report on the delivery and quality assurance of community-based programmes and community support services.
- Plan staff rotas to ensure sufficient cover is in place to cover community programmes and clinics.
- Manage demand of client one to one work in the community with resources available.
- Oversight of community sessional workers
- Participation as a member of the Leadership Team, to achieve My CWA objectives and service outcomes
- Ensure that the safeguarding of clients and children is held as the number one priority of all staff and volunteers at all times.
- Report on performance for responsibility areas by tracking progress, effective supervision, case audits to ensure delivery of plans.
- Supervise staff, ensuring that My CWA values and culture are modelled and inform our work
- Ensure timely reporting of quarterly monitoring
- Create, foster and manage effective relationships with partner organisations and stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of collaboration and meaningful multi-agency working is maintained with priority stakeholders.
- Participate in regular knowledge sharing with other team members including duty days, informal supervision and training sessions
- Participate on the duty manager rota weekly

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prioritise the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children
- Participate in weekly duty activities and rota based out of hours helpline/on-call
- Please NOTE: This will involve out of hours responses to emergencies. Staff must be available to respond when on-call.
- Work as a member of the team with other staff by sharing information and expertise.
- Contribute to the delivery of community programmes.
- Participate in multi-agency, partnership and collaborative activities
- Demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and service user involvement
- Contribute support during busy times, responding flexibly to our busy environment
- Attend appropriate training and demonstrate commitment to professional development
- Work within all My CWA policies and procedures
- Participate in regular supervision
- Work to the code of conduct required by My CWA.
- Represent My CWA positively and professionally to all partners at external activities
- Perform any other duties as required by your senior, manager or Board of directors

**SKILLS, CAPABILITIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
- Good standard of education, be literate and numerate.
- Evidence of recent learning in a related field
- PTLLS or group facilitation qualification.
- Understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse.
- Awareness of typologies of domestic abuse
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues.
- Supervision and planning skills.
- Assessment and support planning skills.Group work/training/facilitation skills.

- Organisation and planning skills
- A commitment to recognising the potential in all clients and understanding the importance of diversity.
- A commitment to supporting people affected by domestic abuse.
- This role will include on call (out of hours) and support planning for clients (following induction and training).
- This role requires regular travel across and outside of Cheshire, therefore the post holder must be a driver and car owner.
- The ability to communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- The ability to manage a high volume workload and conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
- Demonstrated capability to conduct one’s self in a calm and professional demeanour when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations.
