Our company has built a reputation among consulting engineers as one of the leaders in capturing geo-referenced data for river and floodplain modelling, still water surveys, environmental surveys, and water-based construction. Storm Geomatics is looking to scale up its operations, increase capacity, and move into new and previously undiscovered markets.

You will receive on-the-job training that will eventually progress you to surveyor-level status. Approved Development Scheme qualifications within the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors are also attainable through a company scheme. The work will give you an opportunity to travel all over the UK, and the types of projects you will be involved in include:

- River Surveys
- Still Water Surveys
- Near Shore Surveys
- Setting Out
- Topographic Surveys

The successful applicant should ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

- Hardy outdoor type
- Physically fit
- A real team player with aspirations to grow within the company
- Understanding of technology and computers
- Previous work experience is a must, preferably in an outdoor job such as building, farming, or forestry (no previous surveying experience is needed)
- Ability to work away from home on weekdays
- Full clean driving licence
- Fluent in English
- Ability to swim
- Ability to work on your own initiative
