There is an exciting opportunity for a highly specialist Community CAMHS Practitioner to join the multi-disciplinary team in Core CAMHS Team based in Peterborough.

They will work with the Senior Leadership Team to provide highly specialist clinical leadership regarding ongoing service improvement initiatives (including implementing learning from continuous improvement cycles) which are in line with the current CAMHS Service Plan or other service priorities. This may include undertaking clinical case reviews, routine audit, evaluating outcome measures and other research methodology.
- The post holder will be based within a multidisciplinary team and will have the support of a senior management team, as well as the skills and experience of a wider diverse multidisciplinary team across services.
- The post holder will be expected to provide a highly specialist service to children andtheir families and carers.
- The post holder will provide specialist assessments and therapeutic intervention forchildren and young people referred to the service and consultation to otherprofessionals involved in their care.
- The post holder will also be expected to undertake service development projects asagreed with the senior leadership team.

1. Provide expert care to patients on their caseload.
2. Providing skilled assessment, treatment, supervision and consultation within CAMHS.
3. Provide expertise and specialist advice, supervision, guidance and consultation to other professionals delivering complex interventions and to contribute directly to young people’s assessment and treatment.
4. Exercise a high degree of personal professional autonomy
5. Make critical judgements of the highest order to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job.
6. Make decisions where precedents do not exist, where appropriate without recourse to others, and to advise and support colleagues where standard protocols do not apply.
7. Draw on advanced knowledge and exercise professional skills of the highest order, some of which are likely to be highly specialist, acquired only after lengthy training, supervision and practice.
8. Make and receive referrals
9. Complete advanced history taking as required with patient group
10. Regularly undertake clinical supervision for specialist practice area.
