We are looking for an experienced governance professional to support our Governance function in meeting statutory and regulatory requirements, servicing meetings and assisting with ad hoc projects.

The role reports into the Director of Governance/Company Secretary, and you will also be working closely with the Deputy Company Secretary, Executive Group, Group Board and the Chief Executive’s office.

The role will suit a highly organised individual who has knowledge of corporate governance/company law, understands compliance processes and has minute taking experience. The post -holder will be responsible for:

- Servicing of meetings (preparation of agendas, sourcing papers, minuting and chasing actions)
- Ensure the Group remains legally and regulatorily compliant through the identification of new requirements by conducting proactive horizon scanning
- Tracking the progress of governance activities
- Maintaining statutory and governance records
- Assisting with the review of governance policies and procedures
- Other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.

**Essential Skills and knowledge**
- Knowledge of corporate governance/company law and compliance activities associated with these
- Experience of servicing Boards and Committees
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and excellent communication skills
- Experience with handling confidential information.
- The ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Experience of using technology and software platforms (Microsoft Teams, Board Pack Portals)

**Desirable**
- Experience of using Board Portals

**Qualifications**
- ICSA Part qualified/fully qualified governance professional or equivalent experience
