A global company are searching for a **Senior Network Engineer** to join the team at an exciting time where the project pipeline is transformative. This role will have the opportunity to work on projects and take principle responsibility forthe management and operation of customer networks. You will provide network design, consultancy, and operational support to all areas of the business. As a company that seeks innovation, they want to see you be proactive in the ways you work and find yourspecialism within projects.

You will be working collaboratively alongside project managers, infrastructure engineers testing teams, developers, and clients regarding supporting the network changes. A key focus will be effective management of network change communications and procedureswithin the change control framework.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Day to day operations management of network-related incidents and service requests.
- Resolution or escalation of incidents and service requests within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Monitor and report on network health using management tools including SolarWinds Network Performance Manager
- Perform daily network health checks identify and rectify any potential issues in a timely manner.
- Install and commission network infrastructure platforms including switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers.
- Provide expertise in development design and deployment of Wi-Fi and mobile (3G/4G) communications solutions
- Administer network protocols and technologies
- Create and maintain accurate, clear and comprehensive network documentation.
- Assist in the recommendation of new network equipment to meet project requirements

**Key Experience Required**:
Technically the client is looking for you to be experienced in the following:

- Strong exposure and understanding of network technology including WAN/LAN/WLAN
- Excellent understanding of Cisco devices including routers/switches/firewalls
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI would be extremely beneficial
- Excellent understanding of routing protocols including OSPF/BGP
- Knowledge of Checkpoint ASA Firewalls is required as well as Fortigate
- Any experience with Palo Alto would be highly desired.
- Experience with F5 load balancers
- You will currently hold a CCNA certification and preferably also have a CCNP qualification too.
- Strong team player skills are essential as is the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external end users.
