**Deputy Manager - Mental Health** - £27,548 - £30,303 per annum (Salaries vary depending on experiences)

**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, inclusive of bank holidays, 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)

**Service** - Harwood House, Aylesbury

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
The Harwood Houseteam is a 24/7 supported living scheme for adults with long term mental health issues. Clients are supported at Harwood House following extended stays on acute psychiatric and rehabilitation wards or are returning closer to home after periodsin out of county placements.

**Overall job responsibility.**

Some of the core duties include:

- Assisting and supporting with the daily management of the house.
- Completing regular staff supervisions and ensure the staff team attend regular training to help progress their continuous professional development and careers.
- Provide support and advice to the staff team in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Rota management.
- Leading by example.
- Support, encourage and prompt residents with their medication.
- Ensure that house rules are kept and adhered to as well as providing a safe and respectful environment.

- Previous experience working within a mental health environment and providing care for those residents.
- Experience of working within a team.
- An understanding of the current mental health systems.
- Good communication skills, written, verbal and listening.
- Ability to work safely and responsibly without direct supervision with residents, and on your own.

You will receive the training and confidence to use core therapeutic talk therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based Trauma Informed Care and Mutual Aid to provide the best possible support to our clients.
