The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for our Client based in Taunton.

Annual pay rate for this position is £38,000 - £45,000.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Our Client is a manufacturer of miniature mechanical components and assemblies for use in microelectronic packaging. Their main activities include Thin and Thick film metallisation of ceramics and the machining, coating and joining of metal and ceramic Assemblies.

**Summary of Role**:
As a member of the Quality Team you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and
compliance of products and services from contract review through manufacturing, test,
dispatch and also in service with the customer. You will facilitate and support the identification. You will champion the pursuit of effective compliance and continuous improvement with active development of our suppliers, processes and people.
**Main Duties**:

- Primary authority on all quality related matters on assigned areas of responsibility.
- Interfacing and communication with all areas to support the goals of the business.
- Conducting internal and external Quality Audits.
- Hosting external agencies, accreditation bodies and customer audits.
- Generation and management of quality related inspection and test specifications and work instructions.
- Definition of process test methods and standards.
- Management and review of company wide manufacturing drawings, specifications and work instructions
- Defect investigation to identify and address root cause.
- Maintaining quality records.
- Ensuring integrity of products, materials and processes to satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirements.

**Essential**:

- 5 years experience within a high tech Manufacturing/ Quality/Engineering environment.
- Experience of microelectronic production and assembly techniques and requirements.
- Working knowledge of MIL STD 883 and/or equivalents.
- Ability to review and interpret drawings and test reports.
- Ability to generate, review and interpret specifications, work instructions, etc.
- Ability to establish, introduce and maintain manufacturing quality control systems and techniques.
