An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy Clinical Coding Department as a Trained Clinical Coder.

At UHP the Coding Department applies clinical coding to approximately 157,000 inpatient and day case episodes per year.
- The post-holder will be a member of the Clinical Coding Department, which provides the Clinical Coding function for the Trust.
- The main job purpose is to code the diagnoses and procedures related to the complete range of hospital specialties, for both inpatient and day case episodes, to agreed standards of accuracy, timeliness and completenes.

Our Clinical Coding team has a broad range of experience, and we have a supportive, professional and approachable culture

We have an Experienced Approved Clinical Coding Trainer and an Approved Clinical Coding Auditor in the team, meaning that full audit, validation and training support is available

Applicants must be well organised and be able to work as a part of a team or on their own, with good time management and communication skills.

We also offer a limited Working from Home Rota and are working towards implementing an EPR system which will create the opportunity for further flexible working.

The salary will include 15% recruitment and retention premium also
