Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Early Help Officer to join our team. The Early Help Officer will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals in need of early intervention services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide interventions and support for families experiencing difficulties or in need of safeguarding
- Through duty of care, report all safeguarding concerns to DSL in school and Starting Point if threshold is met.
- Conduct Early Help assessments to identify needs and develop tailored support plans
- Conduct home visits, support community appointments and complete direct work in schools.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to individuals and families
- Collaborate with external and partner agencies to coordinate services for children and families
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes, working in accordance with GDPR and data protection laws.
- Communicate and share information with schools and partner agencies to ensure children and families are safeguarded in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection laws.
- Organize and be lead professional on TAF meetings
- Complete necessary documentation for partner agency meetings, signposting and referrals (ICPC/RCPC, CE risk assessment, DASH, GCP, Starting Point referrals etc)
- Build a trusting, transparent and professional relationship with schools, children and families and partner agencies.

**Qualifications**

Essential

DSL/ Safeguarding

Level 2 in Child Care and education (minimum)

**Experience**

Essential
- Experience in Safeguarding Children and families and a sound knowledge of local authority thresholds
- Experience of working within schools and educational environments
- Experience of providing support for children and families
- Experience in data entry and maintaining detailed records in accordance with GDPR

**Skills**
- Proficiency in verbal, written and IT communication systems
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse populations
- Working knowledge of phone and face to face etiquette for professional interactions.
- Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions to safeguard children
- Ability to manage varying case loads and competing demands**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £23,088.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.2 - 37 per week
