Child and Family Support Officer

**Job Summary**
The Governing Board of Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic member of staff to provide administrative support and family support services.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Provide administrative support to the school, including attendance work and managing attendance records.
• Work with families to overcome barriers and ensure children reach their potential at school.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
• Complete Early Help Assessments and other relevant paperwork.
• Support families with parenting skills and provide guidance on how to overcome challenges.
• Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive support service.
**Requirements**
• Experience of working with families and children in a support role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of attendance and engagement procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
