Learning Disabilities Support Worker

We are supporting a service user in her 40’s with a diagnosis of Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and mental health needs.
The service user enjoys:
- Being an active member of the community and going to groups
- Socialising
- Going shopping
- Having a structured day with different activities
We are looking for a learning disability support worker who can help support the service user to engage in activities and help live a fulfilled life.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help individuals with meal planning, preparation
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Assist with medication management and administration
- Encourage and promote independence and self-advocacy skills
- Document and report any changes or concerns regarding the individual's well-being
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working with in care is preferred
- Knowledge of person-centred care approaches and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 48 per week
