**Please note that this is a part-time role at 30 hours per week and while we are ideally looking for someone to work 5 days per week, we are open to discussing flexible working patterns.**

At Turning Point, we have been helping people make changes in their lives for nearly 60 years. The Herefordshire (drug & alcohol) Recovery Service supports people across the county. We offer a range of treatment options to support people to change, including prescribing opiate substitute treatment (OST), access to community alcohol detox, evidence-based group programmes, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET).

We have an opportunity to join the team as a Recovery Worker within our Opiate team. As a Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £24,150 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £28,252 per year (Pro-Rata). (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

**Role Responsibility**:
As a Recovery Worker within in our Opiate Team, you will provide assessments, treatment, psychosocial interventions, and care to drug and alcohol users. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, recovery workers and peer mentors and be required to work alongside a range of partners in criminal justice, housing and health and social care.

You will be responsible for a caseload of clients across the county and as such will be expected to work flexible across different sites to meet their needs. You will receive regular supervision and support to ensure you deliver the highest standards of care and are supported to progress your career.

You’ll understand alcohol and other substance use issues, specifically opiates and opiate treatment pathways, and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey, including harm reduction. Substantial knowledge and experience of current prescribing options would also be advantageous.
