**The Opportunity**

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Landscape and Wellbeing. The post will be based in the University of Edinburgh’s OPENspace Research Centre, within the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), in collaboration with colleagues in the Centre for Research on Environment, Society and Health (CRESH) in the School of GeoSciences, and the School of Health in Social Sciences.

**Skills and Attributes for Success**
- A PhD, or equivalent, in health geography, epidemiology, public health, environmental psychology, social science or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Use of quantitative secondary datasets (e.g. administrative records, social survey data, geospatial data);
- Experience in programming / knowledge of statistical programming packages (e.g. R / Python);
- Up-to-date experience of GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) to handle, organise and analyse data;
- Utilising data science methods and/or causal modelling techniques to analyse large datasets;
- Writing technical reports;
- Liaising with external partners, including contributions to professional and academic networks;
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Highly developed communication skills to engage effectively with wide ranging audiences;
- Excellent skills in writing for academic and/or other audiences;
- A record of peer reviewed publications in a relevant field;
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
