Seven Resourcing is working with Alpha Imperial Children's Services to recruit a Senior Residential Support Worker for their 3 bed home in Leicester. They are based in LE7 with their Head office in LE1.

**£13 - £13.50 per hour PAYE depending on experience**
**£45 - £50 per hour Sleep in depending on experience**

Permanent role.

**Job Purpose**:

- To provide a supportive, nurturing delivery of residential childcare in accordance with policies and procedures.
- To support the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home.
- To lead by example and maintain good professional practices in accordance with the minimum standards for children’s homes.
- To help create a supportive and positive environment for each young people in reference to their safety, health and education.
- To act as a surrogate parent with professional boundaries.

**Duties**:

- Ensure safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made.
- Contribute to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation.
- Contribute to the educational/social development of each y/p and assist in the implementation of IEP’s.
- Form effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies.
- Meet the emotional and physical needs of our y/p and maximize opportunities for their development.
- Ensure that young people’s views and wishes are sought and acted upon where appropriate.
- Ensure that good quality records are maintained as req’ with supervision and advice from Shift Mgrs.
- Maintain good professional practice in the home in accordance with National Standards.
- Undertake a ‘key worker’ role with young people as required.
- Ensure the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhere to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
- Cook and ensure that the young people are supplied with nutritious meals, meeting their cultural needs
- Dispense, record and administer medication as required.
- Inform colleagues of relevant developments and communications i.e., during handover.
- Maintain and promote residential care work to high levels of professionalism.
- Ensure high quality supervision of y/p, ensuring their individual’ safety and well-being is closely monitored.
- Support the Manager in the preparation, implementation, review and updating of Placement Plans and risk assessments and monitoring progression.
- Identify problems and service deficiencies by the continuous review of y/p’s needs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Inform colleagues of relevant developments and communications i.e., during handover.
- Maintain and promote residential care work to high levels of professionalism.
