We have exciting and unique opportunity within Mental Health Social Care following investment by GMMH and Manchester City Council.

You will work closely with mental health services in South Manchester to develop socialcare and advise and support teams of the delegated responsibilities as set out in the Section 75 agreement.

You will provide support, advice and leadership to South Manchester services to ensure the best possible standard of social care is delivered to service users, their families and carers.

You will also support the monitoring and reporting of the statutory responsibilities for the use of the MHA, MCA, DOLs and Care Act.

We will take a citywide lead on Social Care Development which includes social work student placements and our ASYE programme.

Applicants should have a demonstrable level of experience within mental health, and clinical experience in a wide range of mental health settings.
- Support the division in the delivery of the delegated functions of Manchester City as detailed in the section 75 agreement
- Share knowledge and expertise by presenting training sessions and individual coaching
- Undertake audits against national and local performance standards and targets
- Identify staff training needs
- Work with operational managers to develop a culture that promotes recovery, equality, respect of the individual, personalisation, self-directed care and value of equality and diversity.
- Collate and have oversight of all divisional high risk cases which may include (transforming care, safeguarding, clinical risk, legal activity.) Provide updates when required to Professional Lead of Social, GMMH governance teams and MCC.
- Maintain own AMHP competence via active participation in the AMHP rota, supervision and training.
