**Flying School Office Assistant**

This opportunity is to fill the post of Flying School Office Assistant at Freedom Aviation to join the team on a part time basis. The Freedom Aviation offices are based at Cotswold Airport in the heart of the Cotswold countryside and therefore having a car and driving licence is essential.

This admin role will assist in the day to day running of the flying operation which includes, but is not limited to entering data, producing bills, taking payments, managing bookings, enquiries and maintaining multiple spreadsheets, often at the same time.

Involvement in daily servicing of aircraft such as cleaning, moving and refuelling will also be required.

**Please note this role is unsuitable for pilots or cabin crew wishing to use it as a stop-gap, we are looking for someone who has an interest in aviation but not wishing to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. Additionally this role cannot be remote.**

Required skills:

- Excellent computer skills on both Mac and PC and able to work with multiple excel spreadsheets open at one time including a basic ability to understand Excel spreadsheet formulae and good numeracy skills
- Fluent English both spoken and written, good spelling with legible handwriting for forms and whiteboards.
- Comfortable with mental arithmetic to enable you to deal with cash and card payments quickly and efficiently.
- Impeccable communication (friendly interaction with customers).
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
- Flexible ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work independently using common sense.
- Driving licence and own car are essential, commutable distance to the airfield.

Full training will be given to ensure competency across all areas. Interviews will be held at Freedom Aviation, based at Cotswold Airport, Kemble, and those shortlisted will be asked to attend a training day with us to enable you to see a full working day and what is involved. You will be expected to carry out some of the tasks required for the job, including an assessment of your computer skills.
