We have an exciting opportunity to join our People Team on a **12-month Fixed Term basi**s. This is a Central London office location with the opportunity for hybrid working. **Ideally, we are looking for someone with immediate availability or who can start fairly soon.**

This role will lead the implementation of the Group’s communications strategy. While the focus of the role will be employee communications and engagement, the role holder will be required to work across all areas of communications - including corporate communications and media relations - to support the delivery of the business strategy.

A key element of the role will be to partner with senior leadership and regional communication colleagues in the delivery of global campaigns.

This is a diverse role where you will be required to work across a range of projects simultaneously. You will work closely with the Communications Director in establishing internal communication strategies and lead other communications programmes as needed.

You will manage agency relationships and budgets, therefore excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills will be key. The ability to give sound strategic communication advice and influence colleagues at all levels across the global organisation - including senior leadership - is essential.

The role requires first-class English, editorial and content development skills across traditional and digital channels. Previous experience and the ability to manage communications campaigns in an international matrixed organisation are critical.

**_Internal Communications_**
- You will lead the delivery of all internal communication campaigns and core content creation, as well as responsibility for internal communication channels. This will include working with members of the Group Executive Team on global and/or functional communication programmes and events.
- Partnering with global HR leadership and regional Communication colleagues to ensure the delivery of best-in-class employee communications that drive engagement and support business delivery.
- Accountable for the development and deployment of a next generation global internal digital communications platform/intranet.
- Drive and support the successful implementation and roll-out of other key Group-level communications initiatives as needed, including message creation, branding, drafting and designing communications, identifying audiences, channel management and measurement.

**_External Communications & brand_**
- Play a leading role in the development of our external reputation, working with the Communications Director, Investor Relations and external agencies to develop a proactive media position and supporting our leadership team in media engagement.
- Promote, enhance and protect our corporate brand reputation and strategy, through high quality external communications and the delivery of global campaigns with regional colleagues.

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Ability to plan, manage, and develop strategic external and employee communications programmes.
- Demonstrated track record in the delivery of successful, proactive communications campaigns that employ creativity and use of a variety of techniques and channels.
- Excellent content creation skills and agency management
- from MS Office through to video and social media content.
- High attention to detail, strong organisation and project management skills.
- Self-starter, a quick learner with a strong drive to succeed.
- Team player with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels across the business.
- Proven experience in dealing with and influencing leaders at the highest level, confident at building strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience in media handling, both proactive PR and crisis management; experience as spokesperson a benefit.
- Experience working with and managing agencies, both singly and multiple across complex projects.
- Experience in UK plc or other listed company communications department.
- Ability and flexibility to work with urgency to meet deadlines.
