This is an exciting new opportunity to combine skills and knowledge across working with children and young adults who are reported missing and at significant risk of exploitation and to respond to the locations where the harm occurs.

About the role

The 18+ Missing & Contextual Safeguarding Worker will be part of an exciting new pilot and will be responsible for reducing or preventing instances of Care Leavers from Kingston and Richmond going missing.

This will be achieved by utlising the principles of the Return Interview Service through building positive relationships with Care Leavers who have been reported missing to understand why they went missing, understanding any future risks, and recording and analyzing data. The post holder will be expected to liaise with key partners to ensure risks are minimised.

All assessments and interventions will be recorded using our case management system. Additionally, the postholder will support various panels which aim to support Care Leavers where there are concerns of missing and/or exploitation; respond to Kingston based locations which are identified as areas of concern. The postholder will support the Return Interview Service as necessary.

About you
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Trained in relation to direct work with children and young adults
- Experienced in working with children as well as Care Leavers and their parents/carers with safeguarding issues and additional needs.
- Experienced in building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children and their families.
- Have understanding and have experience of working in relation to Contextual Safeguarding, Exploitation, & Missing Children, and Adult Safeguarding
