The haematology team at NUH are looking for a team of highly motivated colleagues to join our integrated forward-thinking service in the provision of an NHS-England accredited CAR-T program beginning in 2023. To ensure a high-quality service, the Trust has provided funding for multiple new posts in all aspects of CAR-T provision including roles in the medical, nursing, pharmacy, stem cell laboratory and apheresis teams as well as a large capital investment into equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading centre at the forefront of research and clinical innovation in haemato-oncology which will provide the CAR-T service for the East Midlands

This new role within the well-established cancer pharmacy team in one of the UK’s largest and busiest Cancer centres, will provide clinical leadership for the implementation of CAR-T and ATMPs. Alongside the existing haematology advanced pharmacy practitioner, you will be jointly responsible for the strategic development of expert clinical practice within haematology and lead a team of senior haematology pharmacists.

Experience of ATMP delivery is highly desirable but not essential. You should have excellent communications skills, a patient-centred attitude, the ability to work independently & also as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

In this role you will

Jointly with the Advanced Pharmacy Practitioner-Haematology, strategically develop and lead the provision of expert clinical practice - promoting safe and evidenced-based practice and contributing to improved clinical outcomes and services to patients

To be a Trust-wide opinion leader for pharmaceutical matters relating to haematology; including providing professional leadership and support to clinical pharmacists.

Jointly with the Advanced Pharmacy Practitioner-Haematology lead, plan and undertake clinical audit and research within haematology.

Contribute to service development within haematology.

Provide specialist training and education on medication related topics to the multi-disciplinary team.

Take full part in the 7-day shifted rota and bank holidays duties including in partaking in clinical pharmacy duties

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

**Expert Professional Practice: Improve standards of pharmaceutical care for patients.**
- To strategically develop and lead the provision of expert clinical practice - promoting safe and evidenced-based practice and contributing to improved clinical outcomes and services to patients within the haematology department.
- To be a Trust-wide opinion leader on pharmaceutical matters relating to the speciality; including providing professional leadership and support to clinical pharmacists.

**This will include**:

- Attending and actively participating in clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings, as appropriate.
- Providing highly complex specialist advice and guidance on all issues relating to prescribing and therapeutics of medicines for the speciality ensuring they are in line with national and local guidelines.
- Critically evaluate published literature and a variety of medicines related information, including: clinical trials data, medicines usage and expenditure reports, national
