**Social Media Administrator**

**Location - Southampton, Hampshire**

**Salary - £22,500 a year**

**Hours - 37.5 hours a week (Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm)**

**Executive Summary**:
Salon Supplies is a professional hair and beauty supplier, and we are looking for a Digital Marketing & Social Media Administrator to join our team.

**Purpose of your new role**:
To assist the marketing team in a variety of digital administrative tasks and to be the main administrator for all social media and customer facing marketing online.

**Key job accountabilities**
- Manage the social media pages of Salon Supplies, its affiliate pages and its Stores (comment, react, share etc) - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok, Google My Business and LinkedIn and use them to support the marketing activities and campaigns of Salon Supplies et al
- Research what’s happening in our industry via social media and suggest topics for supporting social media posts and marketing content
- Follow the social media feeds of brands we stock as well as competitors in our industry
- Manage and administrate any private social media groups/communities (Facebook, WhatsApp etc) of Salon Supplies and any affiliate pages
- Help with education on how to use social media, tips and best practices for our store staff and sales reps
- Content creation for marketing such as social media posts (taking photos, videos and creating scroll stopping reels etc) for our marketing channels - this could include travelling to and speaking with customers for content gathering
- Office and administration work as required e.g. website updates, competitor website price checking
- Other ad-hoc duties as may be necessary

**The network you would work with**

The Salon Supplies Marketing Team (including the Senior Design and Marketing Executive and the Senior Digital Marketing Executive), Company Directors, Senior Management Team, Sales Consultants, Depot Managers and customers. Other external organisations e.g. Suppliers.

**Essential skills required**
- Confident using various social media platforms
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence communicating with fellow staff as well as customers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong English language skills (spelling, grammar, etc)
- Confident with a PC
- Any experience or understanding of programs such as Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro or general skills or knowledge of other photo/video editing software (Gimp/Capcut etc) would be advantageous.

You are interested in learning various aspects of marketing and the representation of a brand through various channels.

You check your work thoroughly and are careful with spelling and grammar.

You have an interest in hair care, styling and or colour.

You enjoy working in a small team and have an excellent telephone manner and are professional in face-to-face environments.
