We are recruiting for a Band 4 Referrals Administration Co-ordinator to support our Triage Co-ordinators based at Chapel Street Clinic, Chichester. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00, excluding Bank Holidays.

In this role you will provide administrative support to the Triage Co-ordinators and be the first point of contact for referrers and patients referred into the service, managing the administration of the patient journey from receipt of referral to completion of first assessment.

Additional responsibilities will include supporting junior staff with administrative tasks and report monitoring to support the service in achieving service level agreements.

You will have a proven background in administration and must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Strong communication skills and a commitment to caring for patients in the community must be demonstrated.

You will be an integral part of the team that screens and determines the clinical pathway for all patients referred to the service. You will receive and process all new referrals and will be the first point of contact for the patient and referrers. You will be responsible for managing the Triage administrative processes, which will include updating patient information systems, maintaining and monitoring databases and monitoring performance in respect of wait times and data processing. You will liaise closely with the management team and will have some training and supervisory responsibility for junior staff supporting the appointment management process.

You will work closely with clinicians and other administrative staff and will demonstrate excellent communication skills, understanding and empathy to people who will very often be having their first contact with our services.

**Requirements**:
In order to be a successful Referrals Administration Co-ordinator, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience in an administrative/co-ordinating role.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing processes.
- Enthusiasm about working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in data monitoring and analysis.
- The ability to cope with a busy and time sensitive workload.
- The ability to prioritise own and others' workloads.
- An understanding of data protection and information governance.
- Experience in minute taking.

It would also be advantageous if you have previous administrative experience in a health setting, however, training can be provided to assist with knowledge and competencies. You will be supported with a tailored development plan, regular management supervision and support from senior colleagues.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hrs per week
