We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Operations Officer to develop and support the operation of the DofE/JAI Award programme throughout Northern Ireland.

You will be responsible for identifying potential new Licenced Organisations (LOs), establishing, promoting and maintaining good working relationships with the LOs and other partners to support the achievement of performance, programme and financial targets. If you are proactive in your approach, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and are passionate about making the Award available to all young people in Northern Ireland we would like to hear from you.

**What the role will involve**:

- Engage with and support schools including those in the integrated and maintained sector as well as organisations to develop new Award Centres.
- Engage with and support other organisations which wish to operate under the Joint Award Initiative to develop new Award Centres.
- Develop relationships with a range of local stakeholders to support the development of Award provision led by Integrated, Irish Medium and Maintained sector schools.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Licensed Organisations (LOs) to ensure the delivery of a high-quality Award programme across the portfolio.
- Ensure effective day to day contact and support for LOs, including induction and training for LO staff and volunteers.
- Devise and implement effective development plans in collaboration with LOs to include both short term and long-term objectives.
- Regular use of online management tools provided by the Charity.
- Attend regular meetings with LOs, some of which will require early morning and evening working. Meetings will be a combination of online and face to face, as appropriate.
- Perform timely Licence Reviews with existing LOs and contribute to the licensing process of new organisations in line with the licensing requirements.
- Increase participation amongst those young people who experience marginalisation, ensuring that the reach of the programme is inclusive for all young people.
