**Ashton Recruitment require a SEO Procurement Officer for our client based in Belfast.**

Role: SEO Procurement Officer

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary contrct untill 31st March 2023

**Salary**: £27k-£32k

Hours of work: Monday-Friday, Full Time.

The Procurement Officer reports to the Senior Administrative Officer and is responsible for supporting the Senior Administrative Officer in the day to day delivery of procurement services on behalf of the business in accordance with public sector guidelines and corporate standards.

**Duties will include but not be limited to**:
To contribute fully, at the appropriate level, to the operations of the relevant Business Unit in order to achieve the objectives businesses Corporate and Operational Plans.

To contribute fully, at the appropriate level, within the relevant Business Unit.

To assist the relevant line management in supporting the functions and responsibilities of th business and their commitees.

To ensure that the business operates an effective and transparent system of decision-making which includes a robust challenge function at all levels

To be responsible for maintaining business records in accordance with the ISO Overview Procedure and to become familiar with records management practices and the implication of the FoI and GDPR.

To carry out any other duties, falling reasonably within the competence and capability of the post holder, to support the achievement of the businesses objectives as directed by line management.

**Essential Criteria**:

- 2 years’ experience of working in a procurement/finance environment
- Experience of developing and delivering the best procurement options to meet the needs of budget holders
- Experience of operating procurement activity in accordance with corporate guidelines and policies
- Experience of negotiating with and influencing internal and external customers
- Experience of operating and maintaining an integrated electronic procurement system
- Experience of using initiative to make decisions Knowledge
- Practical understanding of Government procurement guidelines Skills
- Ability to assimilate, analyse and interpret complex information.
- Ability to deliver operational/administration services using IT systems and packages.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Procurement: 2 years (required)
