We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement Lead to join our award-winning team to raise awareness of, and drive engagement with, Yorkshire Building Society’s community programmes.

**About the role**

Supporting the Society’s ambition to be a top-tier purpose-driven organisation you will engage with colleagues in the branch and agency retail network, as well as head office functions, to inspire them to take part in meaningful activities in communities where they live and work.

As well as increasing colleague participation, your role will make use of various communication channels that focus on raising awareness of the programmes available, both internally across the business and externally to members and non-members.

As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable digesting multiple data sources and translating them into key messages and communications for different audiences, understanding the importance of timely messaging delivered through appropriate channels of choice. You will drive positive stories, source case studies and find compelling ways to demonstrate the impact the programmes have on communities.

This role is part of the Social Purpose and Sustainability team which oversees the Society’s ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) strategy and manages all Community activities across the Society. At all times you will represent the team professionally, building new and strengthening existing relationships with colleagues at all levels across the Society.

**About you**
- Previous experience co-ordinating campaigns, engaging stakeholders and increasing participation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Brilliant communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to inspire people to get involved
- Strong organisational abilities with capacity to work on multiple activities simultaneously
- Ability to manage, analyse and interpret data to communicate to varying audiences
