Support Worker
**Duties**:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in a variety of settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice care.
- Assist with daily activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and hygiene tasks.
- Support individuals with dementia by implementing behavior management techniques and providing a safe and comforting environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses and doctors to ensure the well-being of individuals under your care.
- Help individuals maintain their independence and improve their quality of life through companionship and emotional support.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dementia care and behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care settings is beneficial.
- A caring and compassionate nature with the ability to provide emotional support to individuals in need.
- A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals under your care, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks and ensure the well-being of multiple individuals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathy and patience to handle challenging situations with understanding and compassion.
- Basic knowledge of caregiving principles and techniques.
