Local Structure

Great Places Tenancy Coach is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to customers who are most at risk of their tenancy failing. We focus on customer strengths; providing skills and tools to successfully manage a tenancy and the promotion of independent living; now and in the future. We are able to provide tailored 1-1 sessions, telephone advice and guidance, Wellbeing plans and so much more. This role is to mainly cover Stockport, Oldham and Rochdale; with the requirement of flexibility to assist within other geographical areas.

You will feel comfortable in having honest and difficult conversations with customers, enabling them to make informed choices and change behaviour.

You will be able to work with integrity, inclusivity and have respect for diversity; assisting our valued customers to work towards Independence and Wellbeing.

You will have a strong ability to quickly build rapport, with great people skills and a positive approach to challenging situations.

You will be an effective problem solver, with high resilience, and the ability to show empathy, in a non-judgmental way; always promoting the values of Great Places regardless of the customer journey.

You will be highly organised with a strong ability to plan, prioritise and manage deadlines, always demonstrating a commitment to work in partnership with others for the benefit of Great Places customers.

What you need:

- Experience of using a strength based approach to assist customers to achieve their goals.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, with a proven ability of delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Experience of administration and recording procedures, with an in depth understanding of confidentiality.
- Experience of providing training and peer to peer support to effectively share specialist knowledge and learning.
- In depth understanding of the welfare benefits system and social inclusion is essential.
- Ability to engage and to build relationships with partnering or potential partner agencies or organisations.
- Ability to act as an Ambassador for Great Places and the service.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Effective liaison with colleagues and other stakeholders to give, or find, information to resolve problems.
- Demonstrable coaching skills in promoting independence.
