Facilities and Health & Safety Coordinator

The role
- Collaborate with the Operational Excellence Manager to shape and execute the UK Distribution EHS strategy, monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS and maintenance, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Maintain documentation in line with global standards, supporting EHS and maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance with statutory EHS obligations, including training and reporting.
- Foster a positive EHS culture by working closely with the Distribution Management Team, ensuring standardized training.
- Serve as the interface to the Global Distribution EHS team, participating in global meetings and facilitating local EHS meetings.
- Address UK Distribution Centre facilities-related issues, ensuring swift resolutions and accurate record-keeping.
- Investigate and document safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing improvements.
- Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation, liaising with external consultants, and communicating changes to the business.
- Coordinate and manage on-site contractors, conducting regular reviews of risk assessments

Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in premises, health and safety, or facilities administrative support, ideally within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Understanding of current and emerging legislation/guidance within HSE is desirable.
- Proven experience in creating and managing process documentation with revision control.
- Strong communication and written skills
- Attention to detail and organised approach
- Track record of driving behavioural change and promoting a positive safety culture
