**Health & Safety Co-Ordinator**

**£23,000 - £27,000**

This role is to oversee and manage the H&S for day to day operations and projects. To assist with Contracts / Project Managers projects as ensuring all works are followed and H&S top priority.
- Overseeing sub contractors and employee engineers.
- Spot checks on projects and contractors works.
- Ensuring subcontractors certification in place using internal system.
- Raising RAMS and permits accordingly.

**The Role - Health and Safety Co-Ordinator**
- Supporting the Contracts / Projects / Operations Teams in accident investigations, enforcing company H&S policies & helping to improve employee communication.
- Assisting the Contracts / Projects team with site inspections.
- Support and manage the investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents as directed.
- Support and/or manage the conducting of risk assessments as required by legislation and review at relevant intervals.
- Maintain H&S records of the same.
- Support in the conducting & carrying out internal and compliance audits, report on findings and manage issue log through to completion.
- Support carrying out all risk assessments and special assessments as required by business, including display screen equipment, manual handling, lone working, pregnant workers, young workers etc.
- Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
- Responsible for the Health & Safety Welfare of Employees.
- Mental Health awareness (training provided)
- Managing and updating ; Updating the Company’s general Health & Safety in the Workplace on a day-to day basis, incl. Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments
- Carrying out H&S housekeeping inspections
- Updating H&S policies and procedures
- Document and investigate all accidents/investigations.
- Deliver toolbox talks on health and safety issues to all levels.
- Maintaining the H&S management system
- Passionate about Health and Safety
- Ambitious to develop your career in Health and Safety
- Qualification in NEBOSH General Certificate
- Strong teamwork / IT skills are essential
- Passionate about health and safety
- Experience in Retail / Commercial / Industrial working environments.

Salary full time / pro rata £25K - £30K plus quarterly bonus.
