**Reports to**: Operations Manager
**Hours**: 30-35 hours
**Salary**:£ 26,595 per annum (pro rata)
**Pension contribution**: 7% employer contribution
12-month contract with the possibility for extension and becoming permanent
PLEASE NOTE ALTHOUGH THIS ROLE IS REMOTE YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN TRAVELLING DISTANCE OF KIRKLEES, FOR ATTENDANCE AT A MONTHLY FACE TO FACE TEAM MEETING.

Healthwatch is an independent watchdog for NHS and social care services in Kirklees and Calderdale. We amplify the voices of children, young people, and adults - making sure those who run, plan and regulate health and social care services hear the views and experiences of patients and carers. We also:
- Write reports and make recommendations about how health and care services could or should be improved.
- Promote and support the involvement of people in the monitoring, commissioning and provision of local health and social care services.
- Provide information and signposting to the public about accessing health and social care services and the options available to them.
- Make the views and experiences of people known to Healthwatch England, helping it to carry out its role as the national champion.
**OVERALL OBJECTIVES**
To effectively communicate and promote the values, activities, and impact of Healthwatch Kirklees and Calderdale to a diverse audience, utilising a range of communication strategies and digital media tools.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Communication Campaigns**:
- Plan and execute communication campaigns for various Healthwatch projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand the objectives and key messages of each campaign.
- Ensure campaigns are tailored to reach diverse audiences effectively.
- Ensure that Healthwatch Kirklees and Healthwatch Calderdale maintain a strong brand profile with stakeholders and the general public.
- **Content Creation**:
- Create engaging and informative content for a variety of mediums including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
- Use storytelling techniques to highlight the impact of Healthwatch activities and projects.
- **Design and Multimedia**:
- Design visually appealing graphics and layouts using Canva and Adobe InDesign.
- Produce and edit videos to support campaign objectives and enhance digital presence.
- Ensure all content is consistent with Healthwatch brand guidelines.
- **Social Media Management**:
- Manage and grow Healthwatch’s presence on social media platforms via the creation of regular content to increase brand awareness including highlighting the work of Healthwatch Kirklees and Calderdale, and closing the feedback loop.
- Develop and schedule content calendars, engage with the audience, and monitor social media trends to optimise outreach.
- **Evaluation and Reporting**:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns using analytics tools.
- Prepare reports on campaign performance and insights to guide future strategies.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive communication strategies and to share campaigns
- Attend and represent Healthwatch at various events and meetings as required.
- **Knowledge, training & personal development**
- Ensure that your awareness and knowledge of health and social care services is up-to-date and that you share any relevant information with the staff team.
- Actively seek feedback to review and evaluate your own performance and identify your training and development needs.
