This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a well-established Foundation Learning provision within Newbury College.

The key requirements of the role are to plan, prepare and deliver teaching to students with complex and profound learning disabilities and behaviours and be responsible for the effective organisation and delivery of this Focus Pathway. We need someone who is fun, creative, with a flexible approach to teaching. Forward-thinking, inspirational and able to respond to challenging behaviour with sensitivity and resilience.

You will also be expected to lead and participate in team meetings and to ensure the consistent delivery of teaching across the department, working with and support the curriculum support assistants with the students. Applicants should have a strong understanding of complex learning needs.

**You must have**:

- Experience of teaching or working with students with complex and behavioural support needs.
- Related qualification (minimum level 2)
- L2 English and Maths

**It would be beneficial if you also have**:

- L4 Education & Training Award
- Assessor Qualification
- 2 years teaching experience
- Mentoring/coaching qualification
- Internal Verifiers Qualification (IQA)
