**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

As a **Production Support Specialist**, you will be essential in supporting Silver’s platform with batch processing and infrastructure that’s critical to the success of the U.S.A. Financial Markets and Tax reporting. This is for a day and swing support shift based within the U.K. timezone.

**What you will do all day**:

- Monitor and support daily batch processes and triage/troubleshoot any production batch issues as needed.
- Maintain internal SLAs for any overnight or start of day services.
- Manage upgrades and system optimization-related projects. Provision and implement environments and security access according to specifications.
- Support key operational business functions across different business units.
- Assist with a variety of internal initiatives such as maintaining documentation, contributing to our internal knowledge base, monitoring security, system use, cost savings and workloads using ticket system and tier 1 production incident support.
- Identify trends, or areas of opportunity for improvement and recommend improvements.
- Provide best practice recommendations and guiding governance of live internal systems in partnership with the Product / Development team.
- Working hours for the available positions will be one of the below:

- Belfast (GMT+1) 06:00 - 14:30, Monday to Friday.

**What you need to succeed**:

- A good numerate/science focused degree including (but not limited to) Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science; or qualified to HNC level or above plus significant experience.
- Experience using and supporting various monitoring and visualization tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, Datadog).
- Experience in Linux OS troubleshooting skills and BASH/SH or Python scripting.
- Experience with Cloud Technology platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
- The ability to learn new and unfamiliar technologies quickly, as required.
- Adaptability: while you enjoy establishing processes and standards, you understand the need to be flexible and enjoy trying new things.
- Work well in a geographically distributed tech organization spanning multiple disciplines - Support, Engineering, SRE, Data.
- The permanent right to live and work in the U.K.
