**Job Title**: Purchasing Co-Coordinator
**Dept**: Purchasing
**Full Time**:37.5 hrs Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
**Reports to**:Purchasing Manager
**Main Duties**:Responsible for assisting with all aspects of the purchasing and supply chain, managing existing and new relationships with our supplier base. As well as ensuring accurate records of all transactions, stock levels, product demand and pricing are always kept and updated. The main tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Full responsibility for maintaining, updating, barcoding and keeping accurate records of goods ordered and received.
- Take charge of the analysis of current and historical usage to forecast future levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keep a constant check on stock levels to meet such.
- If necessary, assist in locating vendors of materials or supplies, and conducting due diligence to determine product availability, best quality and value and terms of sales.
- Follow up on discrepancies in prices within set budgets.
- Liaising with other departments within the Millmead Optical Group to ensure SLA’s can be met. Ensuring lead times & quality with suppliers are being adhered to, and recommend necessary steps to the relevant Manager to address as and when required.
- Identify efficiencies and better working practices.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and requirements in a timely manner.
- Assist in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Managing expectations of Key Account Customers.
- Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials.
- Maintain project schedule and programme by monitoring own progress, co-ordinating activities and resolving problems.
- Assist in the management of administration and set ups on the department providing accurate data to ensure processes are completed in line with critical path.
- Adhere to the Company’s compliance requirements with laws and regulations for overseas purchases.
- Have a full understanding of the inventory management process.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.
