We are offering an exciting opportunity as **Functional Lead Consent Hydrogen **to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future

As Functional Lead Consent Hydrogen you will develop the strategy and standardization for the area. You will drive the development of hydrogen opportunities, monitor regulations as well as engage in risk management. You will establish a solid way of working to fulfil and shape the regulatory consenting obligations for the area. You will work together with local consent managers and Offshore Hydrogen Solution department within the development organisation.

BU Offshore Wind is part of Business Area Wind which is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind business as well as other Renewable activities like PV/Solar and Hydrogen. Today we develop, construct and operate wind farms across Europe and look to expand our portfolio into Hydrogen. This is why we are now looking to hire a Functional Lead Consent Hydrogen.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:
You will be engaging with and supporting authorities and associations as well as steering and influencing regulations development by being involved across markets and facilitating learning and feeding back to authorities. You will work in close cooperation with local Consent Managers. Furthermore, you will be monitoring the market regarding regulation setup (oil & gas input). As a result you will be developing and aligning the strategy across markets together with Offshore Hydrogen Solution department by pulling information together from all markets and being a focal point of contact. You will be exploring new market opportunities and new territories as well as opportunities for matured projects. You will built up knowledge across disciplines and markets as well as monitoring best practice in the field of Hydrogen.

Furthermore, you will:

- Communicate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach
- Identify industry best practice in regards to regulatory schemes across countries
- Enable shaping the national regulations in close cooperation with the local consent managers
- Give input to the consenting strategies and establish best practice
- Align with stakeholders to identify gaps, opportunities and changes and propose solutions to ensure a fit-for-purpose and competitive market approach
- Develop and implement internal processes -and procedures for the area;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of company policies, processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements with a particular view on hydrogen development
- Ensure lessons learned and feedback loop to Project Development and with the Offshore Hydrogen Solution department in particular

Next to this you bring:

- A relevant degree and/or demonstrated experience (Permitting, Sustainability, Business Development or other relevant field)
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience or another leading role in driving related matters (e.g. Specialist role)
- Experience in Hydrogen projects, Offshore Wind, or Oil & Gas
- Understanding of portfolio management and how risk and uncertainty impact across projects
- Health and safety as the highest priority
- In-depth knowledge of Consenting regimes
- Experience in managing a flexible working env
