**Marketing Assistant**

To assist with our in-house marketing agency. Full training provided.

**Job Title**: Marketing Assistant

**Reporting to**: Sherene Garvin-Mack - Head of Group Marketing

**Job Role**:
**Traditional Marketing**
- Public Relations (writing press releases for the companies within the H. E. Group).
- To build and maintain relationships with PR specialists including local, national

and trade journalists.
- To build upon the existing press contacts list - maintain the list by updating it on a

regular basis, constantly finding new press contacts.
- Actively seeking out news worthy stories and writing press releases to ensure

the brands within the H.E. Group receive excellent press coverage, both in print, radio and online.
- Building and developing relationships and rapports with outside organisations

such as hotels, businesses and advertisers to communicate the different brands.
- Adhere to strict guidelines and protocols in relation to marketing plans and

strategies. Ensure plans and strategies are followed through to successful

completion.
- Take part in creative discussions to generate ideas with all marketing team

members.
- Carry out market research and competitor analysis.
- To write a blog post and publish it on the company websites.
- Create consistent on brand copy, design and content for a wide range of media

including but not limited to press releases and blogs.
- To book in advertising for various publications including newspapers/magazines.
- Find local events for our organisations to attend.
- Attend local events (taking all promotional literature) and promote our company brands.

**Marketing Admin**
- Assisting the Marketing department with all other generic daily tasks and duties.

**Digital Marketing**
- Maintaining Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube,

Instagram, and many more).
- Take still and video footage & work with the team, who will

edit all video footage etc to create video content for our growing YouTube

channel.
- Creating graphs and reports for our social media pages.
- Updating the internal blogs and external blogs frequently.
- Update the company websites - working with our in-house Web Developer / Web

Designer.
- Promote our brands naturally via various forums.
- SEO & Google Adwords.
- Ensuring all brands are listed on various directories.
- Create engaging content and copy that is ‘SEO-friendly’.
- Check SEO is working by monitoring key words

Other
- To assist the Group Marketing Department or Operations Department with other

ad-hoc tasks as and when required, either for Diggerland or for the other

companies within the Group or closely partnered with the Group.

**Job Location**

H.E. Group Main Building, Whitewall Centre, Whitewall Road, Strood, Kent, ME2 4DZ

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
