**THE JOB**

Job Title: Document controller

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

Location: Balsall Common, Coventry

Hours of Work: Full-time 8:00AM - 5:00PM

**JOB SUMMARY**

Ensure that accurate information is distributed throughout and on time to internal and external members of the project team. Sort and store electronic and hard copy documents for designers, surveyors, architects and other colleagues.

**JOB CONTENT**
- Co-ordinate all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and correspondence.
- Input document data into registers/schedules ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date. (Drawing, RFI, RAMS, Technical Submittal trackers, etc.)
- Generate document control reports.
- Make sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable.
- Maintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distribution clearly.
- Maintain the files and control logs for different projects.
- To use, update, monitor and manage information to and from the project EDMS).
- Convert and collate documents in PDF format.
- Track and implement correct document numbering system.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Good standard of education, minimum GCSE or equivalent.
- Strong computer, communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience using Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working within administrative role.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand procedures and policies of the organisation.
- Ability to deal effectively with construction team.
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels, maintaining a polite and helpful approach.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Balsall Common: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
