Either:

- 3 A levels at grade C or above

Able to follow a discussion in Welsh, in Clear Welsh, on familiar matters relating to the post. Able to contribute to the conversation and answer questions.

Understand longer reports in Clear Welsh and be able to pick up the main points. (help may be required with the vocabulary).

**PURPOSE OF POST**
- Receive experiences and support in the workplace to complete an apprenticeship and gain qualifications in the finance field
- To contribute to the continued improvement of the services by analysing technology solutions
- Ensure that a reliable trunk road network is provided to North and Mid Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government

**MAIN DUTIES**

**Overview**

The North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) who works on behalf of the Welsh Government, is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in North and Mid Wales.

The Agency sees the opportunity to bring people into an interesting field of work that offers various experiences at the start of their career. The opportunity for an apprentice to do a Degree in the field of Information Technology enables the Agency to ensure that the staff have the skills and experiences needed for the future.

**All NMWTRA apprentices are expected to demonstrate the following**:

**Here is an overview of the main duties of the job**:

- Assist in developing and maintaining data management systems for the Agency
- Use data analysis tools to check information
- Assist with the design and use of IT systems, equipment and data held
- Assist with security of sensitive data and physical IT equipment
- Deliver projects within agreed timescale
- Working with partner organisations in regards to information management issues
- Promote programmes for the development of information technology systems required by the Agency
- Communicate effectively with elected members, the public and other external organisations
