Project Management Qualification.

**Relevant experience**:

Extensive experience of Procurement and / or Commissioning

Experience associated to purchasing goods and services in a large and varied institution.

Experience of undertaking tendering procedures.

Manage agreements and a relationship with businesses and / or social enterprises.

Experience of identifying suppliers, evaluating and negotiating.

Experience of reporting and present on performance.

Experience of reviewing processes and arrangements.

Experience of summarising and manage data/information

Experience of dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of working with businesses and / or social enterprises

Experience of developing and maintaining a relationship with businesses and / or social enterprises

**Purpose of the post**:

- To work in the Procurement Unit to provide a professional lead and guidance on procurement across the Council. Manage procurement activities, challenge current procurement methods and implement improvements in order to reach the Council's objectives.
- The post holder will also lead on the implementation of the Unit's Work Schemes and the Procurement Strategy within the Council and contribute to any strategic service reviews.
- Contribute to the work of developing, reviewing and introducing the category strategy and plan for all procurement associated with the environmental, corporate and people categories, in accordance with the category management system.
