Hickton Family Funeral Directors are a long established family owned funeral business, with funeral homes across the West Midlands.

This position is for a part time funeral arranger & administrator at our busy head office funeral home in Cradley Heath.

Ideally a suitable applicant would be local to the office, and may have prior experience as a funeral arranger, administrator or assistant at another funeral business.

This position necessitates a person of smart appearance with good communication skills as they will be liaising with bereaved families, funeral directors, hospitals, nursing homes, crematoria, and Coroner’s Officers.

20 Hours Per Week, plus over time as required successful applicant may also be asked to cover other branch offices.

The working pattern would be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 3pm.

Duties and skills are to include, but not limited to:

- _Handling and making funeral arrangements and administration._
- _Liaising with other branches._
- _Handling at need, and pre paid funeral arrangements with clients/funeral director._
- _Handling Stonemasonry orders and enquires in connection with our stone masonry department._
- _Using the Funeral Manager software system_
- _Dealing with clients needs/wishes._
- _Liaising with clients, crematoria, ministers, funeral director and clients._
- _Arranging collection of cremated remains._
- _Assisting with the movement of deceased in and around the premises._
- _Showing clients in to and out of viewing rooms_
- _Assisting Doctors to view deceased whilst completing cremation paperwork._
- _Maintaining the appearance of the reception, public rooms, kitchen area and toilet._
- _Must have excellent customer service skills, be smartly presented, well organised pro-active and be able to work on your own, or within a team environment._
- _Strong literacy and numeracy skills and PC literate, articulate with an attention to detail_
- _Must be willing to build relationships with the local community as well as our clients and prospective new ones._
- _Uniform will be provided._
- _Must be able to drive. (Fuel will be paid for when visiting clients/other branches if required)_
- _Our service must, at all times, be first class and the care and consideration of our clients’ needs and requirements is of the utmost importance._

We therefore require a person with a positive attitude, with plenty of initiative to learn the procedures and quickly become a valuable member of a busy close knit working team.

Pay scale dependant on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£13.00 per hour
