The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre are looking to recruit a permanent self motivated, experienced Clinical Systems Administrator who will be working to further improve patient care by providing high quality Clinical System development.

The post holder will be expected to work directly under the leadership of the Clinical System Administration Manager to design, build and implement the clinical, clerical and reporting aspects of the EPR System, in addition to other supporting clinical systems.

The post holder will be a key stakeholder in managing the safe delivery of clinical systems, contributing to the Trusts’ Digital and Data Strategy and supporting the overall Digital Maturity of the organisation.

The team is Wirral based with the opportunity for hybrid working at home and on site following training and a probation period. Although you are Wirral based there will times that you will be asked to travel to our other CCC sites in line with business needs.

The role of the Clinical Systems Administrator Work will focus on proactive system configuration of the Trust's EPR Meditech, including development; testing; reporting; system support and trouble shooting. A good understanding of oncology and the Patient Journey/Pathway would be a definite advantage as would previous experience of modules of the Trust EPR.

The primary focus of this role, is to optimise manual business processes, collate and analyse clinical and non-clinical data to develop an electronic system design. This will require good communication and engagement skills to hold in depth conversations with both clinical and non-clinical users.

This post holder will be required to develop or build upon extensive system configuration knowledge to both maintain and develop clinical systems at CCC. This will include thorough system testing, accurate recording of changes and working in close partnership with other digital teams colleagues and where required 3rd party suppliers.

Communication

Communicates on a range of Digital
developments and issues which can be
complex and multi-stranded.

Work closely with all end Users who interact
with Clinical Systems, ensuring an effective
communication link and maximum staff
involvement.

Work in close liaison with the system suppliers,
users and clinicians and other CCC teams to
ensure effective service design and
implementation throughout the Trust.

**Works closely with system suppliers to**:
Report and monitor system issues
Manage fix and new release schedule

Represent the Digital Department at local,
Regional and National meetings. Attending
CCC user groups and where appropriate
Clinical reference groups.

To work closely with both the Clinical
Transformation and Digital Pharmacy Team to
help to identify any changes or development
requirements to the existing systems or
services provided.

Analytical and Judgement Skills

Develop clinical system functionality utilising
technical skills, clinical knowledge, clinical
experience, training and knowledge of formal
project management processes.

Perform necessary testing of the clinical system
at various stages of development.

Create and maintain documentation appropriate
to the functionality development. Respond to
clinical system user ad hoc queries and
comments and take relevant action to address
their requirements liaising with relevant
personnel where appropriate.

Support, in the event of clinical system failure,
critical care processes using clinical and technical knowledge, skills and experience with particular reference to clinical risk
management.

Analyses, investigates and resolves complex
IM&T queries and issues/problems eg. System
errors, breaches of security or confidentiality

Collate user requirements which may be
required for configuration of software and
hardware

Key analysis of business workflow processes
with interpretation and conversion into system
design.

Planning and Organisational Skills

Participate in the design, development and
implementation of clinical systems.
